WatchtowerHome is operated by MediaHosting LTD, Israel. These terms apply to the Watchtower desktop software and associated service made available under this version. You must be at least 18 years old to use it.

Permission to use the software

You may install and use the supplied desktop software on devices you own or are authorized to control, subject to these terms and applicable law. This release does not itself enroll you in a paid subscription or promise that all features will remain available. Rights in third-party components are governed by their included licenses and notices; these terms do not restrict those rights, including rights to obtain, modify, replace or relink covered components where their licenses provide them.

Camera authority, notice and consent

Use a camera or microphone only where you have the legal right and all required permissions. Give legally required notice and obtain required consent before capturing, listening to, recording or sharing people or private places. Do not use Watchtower to stalk, harass, invade privacy, access another person's devices without authorization, conceal capture, or override local privacy controls. Monitoring rules differ by location; these terms do not determine whether a particular use is lawful.

Device and account security

Protect your devices, pairing keys, Recovery Kits and access permissions. Revoke access that is no longer authorized. Do not send private keys, access tokens, Recovery Kits or sensitive camera footage to support. Recovery is limited to the mechanisms provided by the app; losing device-bound recovery material can permanently prevent access. Do not defeat rate limits, security controls or device-consent requirements, or disrupt the service or another user's access. Access may be limited where needed to protect users or the service.

Media and privacy

You remain responsible for the media you capture and disclose, the people and devices you authorize, and the available retention settings you select. The privacy policy describes current data flows. Optional cloud event sharing is off by default and client-encrypted; related identifiers and access metadata remain visible to the service. Deletion does not promise physical secure erasure from devices, operating-system copies, database remnants or backups.

Availability and important limitations

Watchtower is not an emergency, security-alarm, medical, fire or life-safety service. Do not rely on it to summon help or prevent injury or loss. Device, network, relay, server and operating-system failures can delay or interrupt video and alerts. Push notifications are best effort. Features and platform support may vary, and data can become unavailable. Keep independently any material you need; do not use Watchtower as your sole record. Signing, notarization or store availability is not a guarantee that every hardware, network or long-duration scenario has been tested.

Stopping use and changes

You can stop capture, revoke access available to your role, remove local media and uninstall the app. Uninstalling alone does not delete server-side records. Use the supported in-app deletion flow or the account deletion page.

Any material revision to these terms should identify its version, publication and effective dates and provide notice before it applies to existing users. Published versions remain available in the terms archive. A revision will not be described as already accepted on a user's behalf.
